Low Support for Reform Act – Not One State Supports the A.H.C.A.
As the American Health Care Act works its way through the Senate, the act is currently polling at 29% approval, which would make it the least popular piece of legislation passed in decades. When constituents realize the impact the law could have on reductions to Medicaid coverage, cost increases based on age and removal of expanded coverage, the popularity of the bill wanes. Law makers are faced with the choice of keeping the promise to repeal and replace Obamacare or passing something that is more unpopular than the Affordable Care Act.
